Burnaby Minor Hockey Association puts on a variety of skill development camps and clinics for its members throughout the season.

IMPORTANT

As with other BMHA practice/game ice times, Covid protocols and procedures are in place and must be followed.

Note:  Sessions are subject to date and/or time change or cancellation depending on registration numbers.

Power Skating – U11 & U13 Bulldogs/Wildcats

Participants will work on skating fundamentals with a focus on edgework, balance, explosiveness, and quickness.   Maximum of 20 skaters.

 

Puck Handling & Scoring – U11 & U13 Bulldogs/Wildcats

Participants will work on puck handling, puck protection, shooting and offensive decision making skills.   These ice times are intended for players signed up to play as Forwards for the season.  Maximum of 15 skaters.

 

Defensive Skills – U11 & U13 Bulldogs/Wildcats

Participants will work on backwards skating, pivoting, puck control, passing and shooting from the point.  These ice times are intended for players signed up to play as Defensemen for the season.  Maximum of 15 skaters.

 

Goaltending Skills – U11 & U13 Bulldogs/Wildcats

Led by Coach Sheldon, Coach Devin and the 360 Goaltending team.   The goal of this camp is to establish the fundamentals of Goaltending and build upon them.  Participants will work on skating (edge control, shuffles, t-pushes, and slides), save selection (reading and reacting to make the right save), puck handling and passing.  Maximum of 12 goalies.
